Grand Holland Estate Wedding Photographer
A grand day at the Grand Holland Estate, Greenville SC
Nothing says “I do” like vendors who get you. This bride and groom wanted their day to feel fun and artsy, so we did just that.
An Upstate S.C. upscale wedding day timeline
I began my day with these two by snapping some flat lay shots. We used all of Bride’s special jewelry, invitations, their vow booklets, personalized matchbooks, and their wedding favors; Disney “Just Married” and “Happily Ever After” pins.
The Agres put so many fun personal touches on their day, and I especially appreciated how they incorporated their cats into the wedding, with feline friends appearing on a dish we used in the flat lay shots. These two were also Clemson grads, so of course, we included their Clemson rings in the details.
The bride got ready with her girls, and her bridesmaids were the ones who did her hair and finished her makeup. Her mom shared some sweet moments with her, helping her get into her dress. Amy found her dress at Silk and Satin bride, a small bridal boutique in Greenville that has off the rack options, as well as the option to order and personalize your dream dress!
We followed up the glam with some touching first looks. The bride and her dad shared a sweet embrace, and exchanged some gifts, and then it was time for the groom to see her. The Agres chose to have their first look on the porch. The Grand Holland has the most *stunning* porch that exudes Southern elegance and charm, and watching these two see each other at the beginning of the rest of their lives together was the sweetest moment. They then exchanged their private vows outside.
A Historic-Feel Greenville Wedding Venue
Some things to save to your small wedding
The Grand Holland is a treasure trove of fun little places to pose couples. From spiral staircases to hidden balconies, and, my personal favorite, a bathtub in one of the upstairs suites. These two were a blast to work with, and hopped in with drinks to pose for me later on in the night. The estate also has a lot of vintage items that can play up that old-timey feel, from gorgeous paintings to furniture. While it was founded in 2000, the owners have made an incredible goal of creating an old-timey atmosphere with modern luxuries.
These two had their ceremony on the Grand Staircase, one of the many ceremony spaces offered by the Grand Holland Estate. The bride and Groom were surrounded by loved ones, and also by the most stunning floral arrangements by ONBB Design. Two of the best parts of this vendor team, in this photographer’s opinion, was the Coordinator/DJ couple, Audiografs (which I cannot recommend enough), and the food by the venue. This couple had amazing chicken and greens with plenty of options for every palette in attendance!
What my clients are saying about their favorite Greenville wedding photographer
“Sydney is an incredible and exceptional artist. I have been enamored by her work and could not be more thrilled she was able to shoot our wedding. She made my husband and me feel so comfortable in front of the camera throughout our engagement session and wedding day.
“Sydney helped me get into my dress and felt more like a close friend joining along for the day. She was an incredible hype woman and I was honestly in awe to see her mind work as she captured the most beautiful photos. Her artistic vision is amazing!
“I cannot recommend her enough!” - Mr. and Mrs. Agres, 2025
