Palmer & Rose Creative Lab was created for beginner photographers who want more than an online course, a lecture, or a styled shoot where they simply watch someone else work. We remember what it felt like to be new; to have questions you were afraid to ask, ideas you weren’t quite confident enough to try, and a camera you were still learning to fully understand.

We believe photographers grow by doing, not just by listening. That’s why our creative learning experiences combine guided conversations and practical education with hands-on shooting, experimentation, feedback, and plenty of room to figure things out for yourself. You’ll explore everything from camera skills, composition, light, and working with people to client experience, business, marketing, social media, and building a sustainable photography career.

But Palmer & Rose is about more than what you learn. It’s about how you feel when you leave.

We’re building a judgment-free, inclusive creative community where beginners can ask the “basic” questions, try something completely different, learn from two photographers with different creative perspectives, and discover that there isn’t one right way to make a meaningful photograph. Our goal isn’t to teach you how to photograph like us. It’s to help you understand why something works, experiment with different approaches, and become more confident in making creative decisions that feel like you.
