YOUR South Carolina Intimate Wedding and Elopement Photographer

Recently, I gave my website a facelift. And that’s not just because I wanted to showcase some of my more recent beautiful clients and do some fun designing. One of my slow-season activities was sitting down with one of my mentors and discussing who I really wanted to be as a business. What I came away with was a desire to focus even more on love and inclusion, a decision to do more projects full of genuine love that I can give my full self to, and a commitment to keep connecting with my clients on an even deeper level.

I also came out of the meeting with a new motto, so to make it official, I’m doing a blog post on it.

*drumroll please*

“AN ORGANIC SPACE FOR THOSE THAT VALUE THE SMALL MOMENTS”

And since those are a lot of medium-sized words, lets break them down together. I believe that photography is more than just taking photos; it’s about capturing moments with someone you trust and can connect with who makes you feel comfortable being *you*.

ORGANIC

Organic, in the sense of my photography, means natural. I want to capture you and yours just doing your thing. When you book a session with me, you can expect as many candids as staged poses. I want to see you acting as naturally as possible while in front of my camera. This even extends into my editing process. As your photographer, I vow to never edit you away. I believe in light edits to make the photos look beautiful and stay true to you (because you are beautiful!)

SPACE

Our sessions are, first and foremost, a space, and they are a space created just for you. You deserve to take up space and to have a space where you can be yourself, feel your feelings, and feel like yourself. If you need a place to show your love privately on your wedding day, I will make one for you away from all the chaos. I like to call myself a stress-free wedding photographer because that’s what I believe in. If you want an intimate session with your other half in a low-pressure environment, then give me a call. Our sessions are a space to do *basically* whatever you want, get creative, and spend some time expressing yourself. Last week's blog was on inclusivity, and that’s something I really want to keep stressing the importance of. I strive to be *your* South Carolina LGBTQ-friendly photographer. I want our sessions to not only be a space but also a safe space for everyone. 

VALUE

We take photos because they encapsulate valuable moments. You aren’t here for the cutesy annoying shit; you’re here because everything means something. When you entrust me to capture your special day, whether it be an intimate elopement or are huge wedding, you are asking me to be part of a day that holds meaning for you, and I will take that into consideration in everything I do.

SMALL MOMENTS

You are looking for someone who sees you. Not a client, not a price tag, not a weight, but you. The insides. The tiny glances between you and your partner when you overhear something, the look your parents give you when they’re proud, the small details of your grandparent’s rings (every dent and scratch tells a story), you get the jist. Those are the things that drive me to stay in this business, and the little things I’m always attuned to and make sure to capture.
