Why choose the Laboratory Workshop with Sydney Rose?

This workshop is for creatives who want to create elevated, intentional work while learning how to do so with purpose. If you’re looking to expand your portfolio with thoughtfully designed imagery and gain hands-on experience in a guided, supportive environment, this workshop was made for you.

At the center of the experience is a carefully curated styled shoot, giving you space to create, experiment, and refine your approach without pressure. Education is woven throughout, with real-time guidance on creative direction, shooting with intention, and making choices that align with your long-term goals.

You’ll leave with strong portfolio images, clearer creative direction, and practical insight you can carry into future shoots. This workshop is for creatives who want beautiful work and the confidence to keep creating it well beyond this experience.

“I would recommend Sydney's mentoring to someone else because she really meets you where you are. She has the knowledge of someone who has been doing this for years (because she has), but as any good photographer is, Sydney is grounded in the basics. Whether you've never held a camera before or have 5, she can teach you something. Another reason is because she really cares about this. Sydney loves teaching and she loves photography. Combining two of her passions into a mentorship project made her such a joy to work with and made me even more passionate. Sydney puts so much care into planning work and shoots for her mentees and her pride in you and your work is evident.”

THE SEARCH FOR YOUR DREAM WORKSHOP ENDS HERE.

I like how hands-on you are and the amount of opportunities you have given us to explore photography in a more creative sense. Shooting . . . can get mundane in some aspects, so having photoshoots to explore creatively has been extremely helpful (and fun hehe)

You’ve got questions? I’ve got answers.

Why do you require a non-refundable deposit?
The non-refundable deposit is for you to know that I will not give your ticket away, and you are 100% coming on our adventure.

Can I use the photos on my website and social media?
OF COURSE! These days are for you to gain content and connections within the industry. Post them on Instagram, Facebook, all the spots! Just talk to me before you decide to sell or submit them to publishing.

How does the process work?
Book your Spot: Want to attend the next one?? Head on over to the shop to secure your ticket, decide on a payment schedule, and sign your contract.

Get Planning: Once we’ve finalized your attendance, I’ll add us all to a group chat to get to know one other and make travel plans if needed.

Attend: When our day rolls around, it’s time to get out a shoot! I’ll have everything planned and cannot wait to see what you all create!

Am I going to get the exact same thing as everyone else?
No two photographers are the same, and each one of you will get varying photographs based on your own style and positioning. There are always times when we trade out the middle frame so everyone can get the amazing shots, but your work will be based on YOU. Just because you are all in the same general area with the same people, does not mean that your work will look the same!

Can I ask questions while I’m there?
Please do! Just because we aren’t in a formal teaching setting, doesn’t mean we aren’t going to help each other out and do some education! Community over competition ALWAYS,

Can videographers attend?
Of course! Anyone is always more than welcome to join and create with us!
